The "Dark Ones" weren't the wolf beast things they where the tall black psychic beings that attempted to make contact with you throughout the campaign.

Oh yeah? Every time they tried to make 'contact' they:
A: Made Everyone go crazy and die B: Make all the mutated animals go crazy and kill everyone
If they were so smart and evolved why didn't they realise they were killing the ###### out of everyone huh <img src="http://i.imgur.com/DTjlY.gif" border="0" class="linked-image" />

I read the first book a while back and liked it a lot. Tried the game but it didn't run well on my computer at the time. Maybe I should give it another shot.
I also picked up the second book but haven't gotten around to reading it yet. I have too many half-finished books lying around o_o;

I didn't see that because not blowing stuff up is for queers.
Those things weren't answered at all actually. It's true, they were trying to make contact, but unless they're entirely bereft of any powers of deduction, they should've realized that they're making people go crazy by doing that.

Well the dark ones wheren't. They wanted peace and wanted to help the humans but they couldn't talk and the only way to communicate was through the mind but most humans brains got damaged when doing so. Which is why most humans thought they where hostile because of the damage they caused to a persons brain when tring to communicate. Artyum was one of few exceptions.

For an advanced psychic race, it sure took them a long time to figure out that they were mind murdering people when trying to contact them, and that this is a bad thing to do in any situation. They could've tried a handwritten note.
Even the zombies in Plants vs Zombies could write notes.

Or something like that.
A: Made Everyone go crazy and die
B: Make all the mutated animals go crazy and kill everyone
