<div class="IPBDescription">Won't affect gameplay -- will add some level of customization</div>I already made a post that sort of touched on this, but it mostly had to do with technical and balance issues that have mostly been fixed by this point. I have more specific ideas now though.
I'm a sucker for any game with a large level of customization. Once the game's been optimized proper, these would probably be a lot easier to add in. They wouldn't affect balance or gameplay in any way (in other words, no levelling up or unlocking weapons or any of that COD nonsense), but would merely change minor appearance-related things.
For instance, some level of customization for Marine armor. Emblems, minor color changes, maybe in-game medals if/when achievements are eventually unlocked so you can show off what you've done with your own character model's chestplate. Aliens could put spikes on their backs, or have animal blotches (e.g., leopard spots), things like that.
Being able to customize your crosshairs or hit indicators as a marine would be a nice change as well, or choosing what your melee weapon looks like. Even things like different Marine or Alien voices would be cool.
Some of these ideas may seem silly, and they probably really are :P I'm blue-skying basically, but one or two of these might be worth including. Thoughts?
