Easier to build
Longtime NS player, longtime NS2 forum lurker, see requests for quality I&S to tweak developer concepts rather than revoking them. These are the result. Statistics here are only an example to illustrate the concept.

Problem
Clogs too few, difficult to use. Easy to die. Temporary. Does not contribute to infestation growth.

Idea Concept/Summary
Clogs are now permanent even if player is no longer Gorge.
Clogs cost energy to place.
EASY TO MAKE: Clogs are placed like old webs, shoot at 2 points, a marine-height cylinder forms between the 2.
Projectiles cannot pass through the wall.
Clog walls allow free passage, but marines are slowed down greatly.

Details/Examples
Origin & End Point cost 50% energy each. I.E. 100% energy to form the wall.
Wall starts with 500 HP.
Wall's HP gradually increases to a maximum on infestation or healspray.

Max HP depends on size of wall.
e.g. a Wall across a small doorway "3 units" wide can achieve a max HP of 500x3=1500 HP.
e.g. a Wall across a big doorway "5 units" wide can achieve a max HP of 500x5=2500 HP.

Speed reduction on marines is proportional to wall HP.
e.g. 100% HP means marine is slowed down 50%
e.g. 50% HP means marine is slowed down 25%

It's already been said that free hydras are here to stay.

I enjoy using clogs but placement is slow and clumsy.

I posted a very similar concept here, want to take a look at those and continue that conversation rather than starting a new thread on the same subject? That way we can get a more well rounded discussion going (and so people aren't repeating themselves).
