As marine commander I would like to see across the top of my screen at all times a dedicated icon that represents each of my marines. The icon is blue when the marine is at full health and fades to red as they lose health. When they're dead it's grey. It also has two overlays, one showing that they're spawning in (maybe a flashing infantry portal icon) and the other showing that they have requested ammo (a flashing bullets icon) If I left click the icon it selects that unit so that I can assign a waypoint. If I right click it selects the unit and centres on him.

I would like more ways to reinforce the notion of marine squads. I usually want my marines to operate in two distinct squads. When I group select and ctrl+1 it should group the icons above and (as in NS1) announce to those marines they're in a squad. When a marine spawns back in, it should automatically assign him a waypoint to defend one of the surviving members of the squad. If he's not part of a squad, he doesn't get that automatic assignment.
