LUA performance improvements

Hey team,

one of the big performance improvements you talked about a few weeks/months ago was improving LUA performance by optimizing the way LUA interfaces with native C++ code. How are those changes coming along? How do you optimize the interfacing (curiosity as a programmer)?

    AFAIK the major performance push will come when the game is feature complete in ~1 month? So they will have 2 months of pure performance and balance tweaks after that. I get the feel that they did not want to put a huge amount of effort into it beforehand because things are still changing and being added so optimization work might be wasted on something that may end up getting removed or changed. But don't quote me on that, they haven't really given specifics in a while.
