Game stops working upon picking a side and drops to menu with "timeout" error.

Hi
As in the topic the game will load fine and let me join servers but as soon as its loaded me onto a team after I move about 5-10meters it will hang then drop me back to the menu with a timeout error.
I've opened the correct ports as listed in the tech support FAQ thread (they are not the same as HL2 btw). My physx drivers are more update than the link provided in the FAQ as well and i've upgraded direct X etc. My PC isnt a powerhouse but it should run it fine (by default the game picked high specs).
i7 Quad core 3.2ghz OC'ed to 4ghz
8GB RAM
1gb GTX 560ti gfx card
Console says there are some missing files but looking about the forum this seems normal. I dunno what is wrong but to me it looks like something is either being blocked or is missing which is causing the timeouts.
Help please.
