in San Francisco?
I'm in San Francisco for a few days and I am wondering what to do!
I would love to hear what you guys think are the best things to do in SF, especially Hugh as you must have done the tourist bit recently!
If you have any tips for driving on what is CLEARLY the wrong side of the road that would be great too!

Touristy things... the Exploratorium shouldn't be missed (hands-on science museum) if you've never been. Ghirardelli Square likewise, if you like *great* chocolate (which they also sell in freight-pack 25 pound full-slabs for people to ship home). Walking or driving down Lombard Street (land luge is strictly prohibited at this point, sadly). Oh, and the bridge of course. Everyone wants to see the bridge first-thing. There's a great cafe just on the north end as well that's open fairly late.
Can also head over to Oakland and get mugged and possibly shot, if that's your thing. Or head to Cupertino, make a rude gesture toward the Hivemind Base and be torn apart by ravening iDrones. Or at least get lukewarm name-brand soy milk half-caf no foam coffee refreshingly splashed on you.
Oh, and either hire a driver, or have a native drive. Even beyond your innate instinct to drive on the wrong side of the road and spell things incorrectly, the freeway systems are a total mess in the SF area and make zero sense unless you know them by heart. Even a GPS is only of limited use at best.

Not sure if you are the real Charlie and just troll so hard that no one expects you to be the real one. ;)
Nope. Totally not. Says so on the tin.

Hi Arga!
If I don't see you in the next developer Q & A I'm disappointed. Of course the best thing to do in SF would be to meet the UWE team. :D
Have a great holiday!
Unfortunately I dont think she holds the UWE team in quite such high regard as me and I am sure they have more important things to be doing right now! I would still love to hear what their favourite parts of SF are though! I stop have two days to fill!
P.S. I will trust in my own driving skills. Where I live we have a roundabout with 7 roundabouts around it, I doubt anything in the USA could be that much of a mess!

Hee hee. I'm now imagining just a skeleton in an english cab parked on the side of the road somewhere in nilpeni- ...er, Milpitas.
If you have time and like garlic, can also swing down to Gilroy. Garlic capital of the US... and garlic ice cream is surprisingly tasty. Just be sure to go during the day. The garlic-wolves that roam the land at night are nothing to mess with.
