ARCs, how do they work?

<div class="IPBDescription">How can it be made clear?</div>The ARC doesn't make sense to me. There's nothing about the ARC that tells the player "Hey, this thing can shoot through walls". Right now it says "This is a big cannon" and you assume it works like a regular cannon that has to have line of sight to hit targets.

How, without changing the ARC significantly, could it be made more clear to the user what the ARC does and how it manages to shoot through walls?

Bonus points if you can explain the mechanism of the arc's whimsical disregard for solid material obstacles.

    future in-game tutorial. besides, a lot of things in this game "doesn't make sense".

    I imagine that the ARC remotely generates some kind of graviton bomb at the location it's targeting, it obviously doesn't shoot any solid projectile through the wall.

    It would be nice to have a line drawing from the ARC to its current target, instead of just the hovering Attack waypoint. Perhaps this line can even be visible as a beam shown through walls on Marine HUD.

    What bothers me is when an ARC is about to fire and scan wears off, this is annoying.

    Well, for one thing you are arguing that this game is not realistic. So good luck with that.
