Aiming/weapons need improvement.

I just recently start annoying more and more about current aim/hit stuff.

At moment shotgun does not do damage even if your aim is off, shotgun is spread weapon even if you miss some bullets should hit, it does in animation or impact shows you hit them but game doenst count it as a hit.

also melee at moment, I hit skulk or what ever in the face with my axe or rifle but doenst count as hit somehow.

this is very frustrating weapons just dont feel right. rathely see it more like in source engine, I hit a lot more and feels a lot beter in any valve game, this game just seems im totaly retarted blind and barely hit something, while in other games I hit way more of the time and kill beter.

NS2 something just not right with weapons, what I dont know but just doenst feel right, deffently shotgun, and shotguns are one of my fav weapons.

    Aiming will become easier as the game gets closer to release and performance improves through engine optimization.

    NS2 uses the Spark engine, an in-house system which is unrelated to Source, and was developed to allow the team to do things the Source engine can't. The engine is also constantly under development and improving, but does use different ranges for valid hits. Adapting to those ranges may be difficult, but is more than do-able with practice.

    The shotgun does have a spread, and damage is done per-pellet. The per pellet damage is relatively low, as expected from a shotgun.

    Melee range is fairly short on the switchaxe, and suceptible to the same client/server lag as gunfire. It's quite possible that you simply missed or were out of range.
