My Crash Thread

<div class="IPBDescription">Been crashing since tech release...</div>I been crashing consistently since the tech release... so I'm just going to start posting my log files. Maybe there is something I'm doing wrong but I'm starting to get really frustrated. What do you guys think my problem is? I'd love to invest into a new machine but can't right now...

My vid card is a GTX 460, latest drivers installed, direct x as well. I have validated my games files and recently deleted/re-installed ns2.

    Some further questions:
    <ul><li>It seems you're crashing on map reload/server map change? As that is the point where your log stars spewing sound related errors. Like earlier in the log, but it ends abruptly this time around...</li><li>Are you over clocking anything</li><li>What kind of crash is it, a hard computer crash (requiring a reset) or a crash to desktop (showing the NS2 send error report popup)</li><li>Not sure about this one, but what kind of sound card are you using and could it be possible to try a different slot if it is a card or test with the integrated sound chip if to see if it crashes? Just asking this one because if I use programs that refuse soundcard control to other programs (like NS2), NS2 tends to crash on load or during map change.</li><li>Could you try and run <a href="http://www.memtest86.com/" target="_blank">Memtest86</a> to see if your memory is still in 100% working order. If you're not familiar with this program, it basically is a boot up progam that starts up the computer into Memtest86. From here on out you can have it run tests to see if there are any memory errors (broken memory modules). The tests are quite lengthy btw, so you might want to start it right before going to bed and check back the next morning :P</li></ul>

    My issues I had awhile back was because of a bad memory stick, but it got as bad as giving me a BSOD not just a crash with NS2. Do a scan of your hard drive too. might have some bad sectors giving you issues while loading.
