Attaching Battery Still won't power Phase Gate?

This happened yesterday. . .
I was in server room behind the servers and got a ninja phase gate up in the alien hive
Power was on in the room while I was building it, but was soon knocked offline
Comm then dropped me a battery, but the phase gate still didn't turn on (battery was 1 foot away)
---
There's already a problem with Batteries not connecting if you build the battery first (or if the building it is connected to goes down) so more than likely instead of tracking down this bug the better solution would be to shape up how the game handles them in the first place
IE Have them automatically grab a nearby building to power and add an option to manually switch what the node is powering
Marines could even be given this ability to switch what it is power simply by picking it up with use
They aren't that big. . .

Powernode in server was built

Your team got a PG placed behind the servers at the back wall

You built the PG

The powernode was destroyed

Did the powernode get destroyed during the construction of the PG?

Did the powernode get destroyed after the construction of the PG was completed?

In any case the PG was unpowered

The commander placed a powerpack (battery), which should have been close enogh to the PG

Once the powerpack was fully constructed it did not activate the PG

Is this the gist of it? Also it would indeed be nice to have an option to relink the powerpacks to structures by selecting it and right clicking on a structure you want powered. This would also fix the problem of place a power pack first and than a structure, which would not receive power...
