It's a short-movie produced to prove to the money-men in hollywood that the team behind it have what it takes to create something great. Here's an informative interview with them at New Film Makers L.A.: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fOw2zghyJwI

I love a good zombie movie and I'm always willing to watch anything to brings something fresh to the genre. I'll be mega delighted if these guys get the get the funding needed to produce a feature.

I really liked that. It's wonderful to see people managing to turn the budged limitations into a stylistic feature by the use of more 'passive and reserved' storytelling. For me that was visually more convincing than the vast majority of bigger films.

The premise is interesting. It's a bit like twenty years after the world war Z as painted by Max Brooks. As a short video this works well, however it would need to be pretty thematically different to pass muster as a movie. You can't have two hours of grim faces and sombre establishing shots.

You obviously haven't seen Drive! :P

But yeah, I agree.. and I get the impression that they have something in mind for a feature length plot.
