A Shell gives you Carapace and Regeneration (D/D),
a Veil gives you Silence and Camouflage (S/S),
and a hypothetical Shift gives us "Celerity" and "Warp" or something (M/M).
Today we have our upgrades tied to the structures in pairs. I was just thinking how much more interesting it would be if they actually paired them off with dissimilar upgrades.
What if a Shell gave you Carapace and "Celerity" (D/M)
A Veil gave you Camouflage and Regeneration (S/D)
And the Shift gave you "Warp" and Silence (M/S)?
Of course we don't know the final (M) abilities, and they could be moved around or reinvented... is anyone else as intrigued as I am?

According to me the current problem is that cara and regen are combineable into what is BY FAR the best upg combo. In NS1 they weren't able to.
