Big issue on tram and with crags

Marine on map| 8 crags not enough to heal hive
The marine commander somehow put a phase gate outside the map. When marine have Jetpacks they can fly all over the out side of the map. What more disturbing then them being able to kill hives this way is that 8 crags and a gorge do not heal the hive fast enough even if the hive is being knifed by one marine. Here are some screen shots.

Sorta brings back memories of when I would boost people outside of the map on Counter Strike

Back to the issue though you can actually clip through the wall and do this on any map; it's not just Tram

The bug is not limited to Marine abuse either. . .
I've been placing Cysts outside the map as Khammander for a while now letting you drill straight lines to nodes sometimes 5x faster
    (Most abusive on Mineshaft)

That's clearly a giant exploit. Contact admins and have them ban the griefers if they keep doing it.

But yeah, any map exploits that allow players outside should be fixed asap.

Key thing here is "if they keep doing it".

To be honest, if they just discovered this they should explore it to some manner....this is a beta, we are supposed to be finding stuff like this. The point where it crosses the line is if they prolong the game and exploit it and then repeat it in other games.

Yus. Seconded. Finding cool new ways to win is definitely an important part of NS2's development. Using that same way to win again and again to completely nullify everyone else's gameplay and exploration is not. If you haven't been out of the map yet, I recommend trying it before the next patch; these things go almost as quickly as new ones pop up.

Figure ill post in this one since there is some bad information here...
I was comm and did build the PG outside the map. Some people proceeded to get pushed way off the side into the middle of nowhere, and proceeded to wander around the map exploring whatever was over there (xorex, and some others). Someone did knife down one hive, and also knifed the other but if you aliens noticed, did not kill it even though he got it down too 1%. Had we wanted to really cause grief the hive would have been killed and we would have won. Instead the hive was left alone, the marines beaconed and the PG lost. I was soon ejected after this since we were loosing quite badly to bilebomb at that point. Soon after we ended up loosing the game. Honestly i do not see how this became such a big deal since we still lost, its not like the game dragged on for hours, we were not spawn camping from outside the map, or building arcs or anything like what was stated in the other thread...

I think this thread is mainly to report the bug about getting out of the map. Most of the people I've seen posted have agreed that there's nothing wrong with testing glitches if it doesn't turn into griefing.

2 Hives were killed. Also just for everybody and the devs information the ALIENS STILL WON even with an invincible guy outside the map knifing down hives. My mind is still blown to the fact that EIGHT crags could not heal the hive from a knifing lunatic.

He only killed one hive, Repair Room and could have killed Warehouse if he hadnt stopped knifing, it was at 1%. Since that was your last hive we werent going to kill it... He flew off to go explore the map after that.

Also, I don't think 8 crags heal a hive any faster than one does?

crags only heal 10hp per tick to hives don't they? unless they changed it in 205

Pretty sure this is the number I've heard as well.

If they only did it one game, then just deal with it. Bugs are found, games crash, etc. It is a beta. When people grief servers game after game after game then just report them to admins and they'll be banned.

Nope. I was alien comm and two hives were killed. Warehouse was not our last hive since I had put up Repair room again. You must have been apart of their rampage.
