Marine viewpoint and 3rd person builder tool

I know im just nitpicking but while playing an awesome game of NS2 i noticed 2 things.
1st:
<img src="http://i44.tinypic.com/msiph4.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />
Me and this marine where building an extractor when i noticed that his builder tool did not have a display on top.
It's not game changing but for aesthetics I think it would be cool if builders also had displays on 3rd person view.
I'm not asking for actual numbers displaying real time or anything, just the blue display.

2nd:
<img src="http://i39.tinypic.com/5wayb8.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

While in the ready room 2 marines stood really close to me. While i was just looking straight forward my eyesight seemed to be a bit low.
I know it's not very convincing on this picture but the viewpoint seems to be on the height of the chest.
In my feeling it should be a little higher then it currently is.

Again, these are just my observations during gameplay and nothing changing really. Just wanted to let the Devs know.
Maybe they can fix this during their break of the gameplay changing mechanics they are working on right now.

    It'd also be nice if you could see the laser and the impact effects of the builder tool from teammates when they are building just as you see your own, that'd be cool.

    But alas, polish is something that can be postponed till before v1.0.

    As for the vision height, i believe it has something to do with hitscan weapons and that having the bullets originate closer to the viewpoint prevents mishaps with obstacles obstructing your line of fire, but it may have more to do with something else.

    You should watch a marine weld something while crouching, his wrist twists around and he welds his face

    Yes, the marine viewpoint has been a bit low for a while now. When standing opposite a marine you don't meet eye to eye from first person perspective.

    Heh, I've seen many a skulk thinking they are not visible when in fact their head is popping out of a vent somewhere, because of this issue :D

    Got killed some pretty humorous ways the other day from this. Nothing quite like thinking you're super stealthy, only to realize marines are just sitting there... watching you... laughing their asses off.
