Lerk Spike

I would like UWE to upgrade the Spike attack. I think it was not overpowered before they nerf it. Now its totally useless. Its spraying way to mutch. Lerk is my favorite Alien Form. I like evoling to lerk early in the game with 1 hive to harrash marines. But the only thing I can do really its harrash lol. Its hard to kill a single marine since the spike suck, and if I the other attack skil, toxic ... the marine just have to step out and hes fine. The lerk do not have enough health to fight 1 single marine alone. The toxic attack is good to distract marine and other alien finish them. And the Spike suck so mutch that even a marine in toxic gaz is hard to kill. I think the accuracy of Spike should be upgrade little bit so the Lerk chance will be equal to a mrine 1v1. I do not want to dominate all the map from the celling or with bite like in NS1, but just something more accurate.

What do you think guys ?

    The 'cone' needs to be tightened a little bit....just a little.

    UWE want the spikes to be a weapon that finishes injured marines. I don't think the intention is for one lerk to go head to head with one marine using spikes alone. You're supposed to gas a whole bunch of them, and help other aliens pick them off.

    I think it's fine how it is, I get killed loads by good lerks already

    I think it's fine where it is really, except lategame, once armour 2 - 3 kicks in lerks have a hard time competing. (in terms of anti-player damage output) So maybe as a third hive, or upgrade, or whatever.

    well you always have bilebomb to reduce a lv3 armor back to lv0 armor (or no armor at all)

    i think the shot spread should be weighted towards the center just like the shotgun's spread is. i can't tell you how many times i've gotten a kill with spikes when my crosshair wasn't even on target by 1-2 inches.

    many would argue it's the marine who doesn't stand a chance 1v1 with a lerk, not the other way around.

    I would say that good marine vs carapace lerk is even match (slight advantage to the lerk maybe?) but a marine supported by his is comm is stronger that a lerk, he can just med all day. By stronger I mean that the lerk will be forced to retreat, you should never die if you don't mess up.

    I would like to have less energy drain on the spikes, it's a bit frustrating sometimes when you know that a marine is low but can't finish it because of the energy.
