Will the good old abilities come back?

But whats with the other races?
Will the other abilitys come if the exo is in the game? so you just hold it away?

Whats with :
Xenocide for the skulk? it was in but it was removed, so i guess it will come back?
Will the lerks primal scream and umbra come back?
Whats with Fade's metabolize and accid rockets?
Will the onos get devour back? If not, WHY? it was amazing!
The onos momentum is totaly useless in fights, the charge was way better.
I mean can it be, that the momentum don't work if onos get hit?
I had so much rounds on diffrent servers with 204 and my whole team has to go onos to rush the marines cc...yes it needed 7 onos player to win.

    Xeno was implemented 4 or 5 builds ago, so that will come back. The other things they didn't say anything but I am sure we will se new abs that will com.

    To your pic: nexttime get only 2 oni and 4 Lerks in. It will end the game much faster than with onos spam. I said that 1000times and proved it several times in different games. Onos spam is not the way to deal with stalemates, Lerks are. If you were even 7 Lerks everything would be down(beside the CC) in 5s.

    Bilebomb and spore everywhere is def. the way to go!

    Xenocide pretty much ends the game as well.

    I really hope devour gets added back in, it was such a fun mechanic (even facing it imo, getting saved when your teammates kill the onos and hearing the gunfire outside was EPIC), very few other games have something unique like that.

    According to UWE it was annoying for marines having to sit in an onos stomoch waiting to be devoured, delaying the time it takes for you to get back in the action. I don't see how that is a balance problem and I definitely don't agree it is annoying. Gore knocking you back, and stomp leaving multiple marines on the ground for 1.5s is way more annoying.

    First we got 4 lerks and 1 fade + me as a fade.
    Don't worked out, lerks died very fast about sentry spam, i mean i love the lerk bilebomb now its amazing but lerk die very fast, specialy with sentrys and gl.
    Then we talk together, everybody go onos and then we rush the cc only (the rush before, everyone attacked everything lol).
    I mean it was fun, but its not realy fun to play onos.
    Marines need about 3 hits do get killed (armor level 3? i never see their level).
    And the attacking and stom is also a bit bugged, you see the marine flying around and he already fire at you.
    Its a beta but its very hard to notice if the marine is on the ground and you can attack or not also the screen shaking is very confusing if you primary attack enemys.


    Anyway this is NOT a discussion about how its possible to rush or not ^^,
    its about the old abilitys and the question, will they come back, if not, why?
    I realy love the devour as onos or save a marine from the belly of a onos.
    It was amazing and i realy miss the old abilitys.
    The new abilitys are nice, i love the effects but onos feels a bit naked, also devour was awesome.
    Its a while ago but i remember they said, they wont give devour back right? :(

    Regarding primal scream, I was watching the livecast last night and Charlie mentioned it. I think he said they were looking at giving it to Onos.

    That's cool because it's a mechanic that fits the lerk (like umbra) even in its new role.

    You use 2 onos to soak the sentry bullets while the lerks destroy them with bile...you have to work together for it to work

    Of course the game has to evolve a bit after all these years.
    First i don't liked the bilebomb for lerk (wasn't working well the first versions), but after playing a while,
    the lerk is my favorite class now.
    Its hard to play and survive in late games as a lerk but its very fun, i had a lot of fun today.

    dont forget, you can pretty much spam stomp as an onos, not only keeping players down but also TURRETS for some time, providing a window for those lerks. (since humans never track lerks as well as turrets!)

    regarding the other class abilities/weapons:

    While i cant speak for what will or wont be in, as its constantly changing, I sure hope Xenocide gets left behind... talk about frustrating gameplay! Now if he exploded and it was just BB , I would be okay with it.
    And yea they've stated publicly many times that devour will not be coming back, and have provided their reasons for this already.
    This being said i feel having devour instead of stun-from-gore would be <b>an improvement </b>in regards to frustrating gameplay (their argument against devour)
    Fear not - they are well aware of the feedback from both the forums and PTers alike, at least.

    No, he really means giving primal scream to onos is flat out retarded.

    Lerks have been made into an "offensive support", hence why lerks should keep primal scream. Not give it to a siege buster.

    At this rate, I'm more excited for a "NS1 mod" than the game itself.

    I recall stomp/devour being the only real reliable method of stopping a HA train in NS1. Wondering what's going to happen when Marines get their HA/Exoskeletons in NS2 and Aliens don't have devour.

    Well next patch should be a step towards the solution (making Gorges a requirement). Though that only means one, maybe two, Gorges early so I'm still unsure how they plan to stop mass higher lifeforms without an early game resource sink ala NS1.
