Everytime I'm looking at the servers through windows, it crashes. If I open up a folder for example.

Everytime I log in to my server using REMOTE DESKTOP. The servers crashes when its 15+ players. Why why why why why? Can we PLEASE get a fix for this. My servers crashes alot because of this bug.

UPDATE:

Deactivate overmind on one server for testing, this should solve the rpc-crashes. Dont why the server crash @15+ players. Never heard of something like that before.

Tempest your beta tester mentioned this issue, he also has it. Buy the way, what you mean by rpc-crashes?

Are you sure that this cause by the mod? If so, then I have to talk with player who made it to solve that bug issue.

To be frank, I'm not sure we ever determined if it was due to the mod or not. I know Tempest ran into this problem a while ago, but it seems to have solved itself. It appears to be rare, so if you can run your servers for a day or two without the mod to determine if OM was the problem, it would help.

I know similar crashes have been reported on vanilla-servers. It's just too cloudy to pin the problem down right now (what with the beta-status of NS2). It may be my mod, maybe, and I might've already fixed it in the rewrite. I just can't tell right now, there is no central place for server-operators to share feedback.

Both of my servers are full right now, so I cannot test now. But I'll retest tomorrow and connect using remote desktop while the mod being disable when server has 15+ players.

I'll report soon... STAY tunes ^^

Just to add to this topic my findings so far -

I have had it crash with or without overmind installed - It just seems to be lot more frequent with overmind installed.

I sent Max a couple of crash dumps a couple weeks ago that I collected when I was getting the issues without overmind but I haven't heard anything back about it. The last 3 or so patches I have not been using ns2update or overmind and I haven't been having any crashing issues.

I would recommend to run your servers with just plain NS2 for now (no mods) and see what happens.
