Few Ideas

Just A couple of ideas I have been thinking about as I play ns2. Sorry if they have been mentioned before.
New marine structure to go on tech points.
Multiple commander didn't quite work out witch doesn't really leave much point in the marine commander building more command stations unless he decides to relocate. My problem is that when marines decide to hold the tech point its usually just an armory and a phase gate. I think its very easy for aliens to take control back from marines especialy early in the game. I think it would be nice to give the commander a reason to make other bases more secure.
So what if new marine bases got a "buff" either from creating another commnad station or having another structure that would go in its place (that way it could cost less). Like some sort of generator or something. The buff could either be a boost to the to either the marines, structures or both from taking damage. Including the power node. Maybe you guys can think up another buff that would be of more use and have better balanced.
Marines activating ARCS
Too many times I have played lately and the marine com can take down a hive single handily with arcs. Now I know they are op at the moment to give marines an end game before the exo suit. I just think that the role intended for the arcs if for them to be accompanied by marines for protection etc. So having marines having to activate them instead of the commander would prevent one man army of arcs from taking a hive down. The com would have the ability instead to let the marines know when he has them in position. Maybe they have a green glow or something. Now if all marines die it leaves them pretty vulnerable. Could be a feature of instead the com has the ability to recall the arcs back to base. An emergency button or something?
Turrets with flame throwers
Turrets are not meant to kill aliens but slow them down right? So why not give the commander the choice to build one with flame throwers. They don't do much damage as it is so it would be a good deterrent from alien attacks.
IP spawn animation
The devs have kind of bet me to it with this one but my idea was using the new death animation but in reverse. Have it play over the time it takes a marine to spawn in from the IP to give the effect or marines "materialising" in form the mother ship or wherever they are suppose to come form.
Would be nice for you guys to elaborate on these ideas and let me know what you think. That is all.

Comments
2) We don't need to force marines through a minigame to attack; if you want to increase Marine/ARC dependence, decrease ARC health when firing to encourage strong protection.
3) It sucks enough as it is to be swiss-cheesed every time you have to run past a base's turrets, now you want to cripple and disable enemy lifeforms via AI-controlled units? This is supposed to be a pvp game; if you want to light the attacking aliens on fire, go get a flamethrower.
4) I prefer it when Marines pop in instantly; there's no confusion as to why biting the half-formed marine doesn't hurt it, and well placed ninja-IPs can occasionally spin up and spawn players in the middle of attacks.
