Area Name displayed in Commander's overview

Would it be easy to get the Area names shown in the main overview the commander has of the map? I know you can refer to the minimap as comm, but feel it would have the following benefits...
The comm would immediately start to learn the proper names of places just by playing as comm; even when not referring to the minimap.
Comms like me with very bad memories for place names (it literally takes me years to learn stuff like this by rote) would be able to (politely) shout orders at marines more easily.
