Fixing the weapon firing bug
Hey all I posted a topic in the general forums about how the speed at which the AR fires in game does not match the speed the gun fires in the audio played.
Is there access to the sound files in NS2? If the dev's feel this bug is too small to be worth fixing then I would like to fix it myself. It is PAINFULLY easy to fix using any audio editing software such as cubase or pro-tools. All it takes is a little tweaking of the sample rate or just using time stretch to widen the waveform.
I cannot stand bugs like this because it takes away from the realistic feel and immersion of the game. I hear 15 bullets going into the skulk when in reality onlly 9-10 have actually been fired.
Can someone tell me how to decompress the sound files to edit them? Thank you :)
