Disconnections and General Internet Loss During NS2 Online games.
I have been trying to join a number of different servers online but I keep running into the same issue with my game client.
What will happen is that I join a server and after a few seconds ( most of the time ) or a few minutes of gameplay, everything on screen will start to move very slowly and then finnaly come to a complete halt. When the crash occurs I lose Internet Connection on my PC only ( Not the network) for about a minute. I am not on a Wireless and my router is brand new. Ive tried shutting down my anti-virus in this situation also and adding all the NS2 ports but The problem still occurs. Also I do not have any issues like this with ANY other steam games, or internet games in general.
I Have also re-installed the game client 3 times and tried a number of different solutions to similar problems for steam games online and made sure all my drivers are updated but It only happens with NS2 on Game Servers.
So I need to know. Is anyone else having this issue with their game client?

seems like the client-side tick rate is dropping below some critical value? don't know what the root cause is, really.
bring up a cmd prompt and type:
ping 8.8.8.8 -t
and whatever the other IP is.
I've noticed that it generally won't happen if I stay in the readyroom, or at least takes longer to occur. I don't know if its just in my head but it seems like I'll lose connection quite quickly after typing a chat message in the RR.
If I join a team I'll generally have about 10 seconds before connection loss.
If I type retry in console then I will not be able to reconnect to the same server-- it seems to stick on the authentication bit of the loading screen (this is the same every time). I can easily connect to a different server straight away and the same disconnection issue will happen there. I've found that I can now reconnect to the original server with no problems and it will usually play OK (except I have 0 starting res :( ).

sounds like the same thing I've got; if you type net_stats in the console, do your connection losses look like the issue i described here?
It looks like this, and stays like this for 20-30 seconds, sometimes a minute, and then I can play again with fine FPS:

How did you get that crosshair in the last picture?
I just think its a server problem. Type net_stats in the console and check the server rate. >20 is ok, below 10 you will get such things. Same for the choke, if it is ar constant 100% same happens.
