<div class="IPBDescription">Looks like it's going to be massive!</div>Hi everyone,

I've been getting tidbits of info and invites to various games this weekend, and it looks like it is shaping up to be absolutely massive for competitive NS2. So far I've heard about these games:

Saturday | 1600 PST | 156 v All In
Sunday | 1100 PST | Archaea v Exertus
Sunday | 1600 PST | 156 v 420
Sunday | 1130 PST | Skulkrush v 156
Sunday | 1700 PST | 420 v Cydweithrediad

I'm guessing they've changed since I've heard, or are in flux or whatever. I've heard rumours of a mini-tournament happening as well. In a fantastic coincidence, I may have access to a hacky new spectator mode this weekend, which could take NS2 casting to a new level.

Anyway tl;dr, this weekend is looking sick, what games are on? Who's playing? And approximately what degree of awesome would it be, if every single one was livecast / youtubed?

    I can't wait, this will be an epic weekend. Lets make this happen guys! Meet together, post, converse lets get everyone involved so we can get some sort of mini-tournament going on.

    As far as I know, its a possibility between All-in, 156, 420, and Darkside for the mini-tournament so far.

    420 is definitely there, mini tournament rumors are definitely in full effect (you should take the reigns on that one, Hugh) and you should definitely elaborate on this spectator mode! :)

    :) Im just waiting to hear back from -[420]- papa, and #156, There some rules that some teams would like to talk about before the games are final. Those rules will be around the onos unless they fix it. All-In is in!

    Unfortunately, I don't think D|S will be able to play this weekend.

    Shiv is going out of town and rantology is mailing her computer. If you want to pencil us in, we can play our games over the week // the weekend after (6-8th). We're down for games, just missing 2 of our players for this weekend. :(

    While I definitely like the idea, maybe we should postpone it till the weekend of the 14th/15th (next weekend is PAX/Easter). It'll give more time to properly prepare and organize since 156 is certainly busy this weekend :)

    I would say darkside would almost certainly be down for that. I'm not sure running a mini-tourney on this build is the best idea anyways, due to the severely game-breaking balance issues. Not to say there won't be more balance issues in the next one. ;)

    All camps have the player base to do this (even with star players missing), this weekend. If it keeps being put on the back burner, it might end up like the first big match that was being planned before(no disrespect NS2HD). This is for the community and to get this game out there. Last week i helped set-up the stream for the D|S - 420 scrim. It had a view count of 45-75 on twitch.tv. I've heard that someone might know a insider to someone at twitch to maybe get it on the front page. That will make the view count higher im sure. So im asking teams lets just go All-In :P This weekend for fun. Run what ya got. And to the devs get us a quick fix on onos if ya can please.

    I think we can make it work this weekend as long as all the details are worked out in the next day. I say we get together on TS3 tonight and go from there. and Yes I would say this one really would be for fun and to mainly figure out the logistics with 4 or so teams and how we play and eliminate.

    156 is going to rue the day they did stuff. I don't know what stuff exactly, but there will be regrets. Well, they probably won't be regretting anything <i>per-se</i>. More of a general sense of unease. Come to think of it, I think both of us are actually going to have a lot of fun, and I hope the match will be rewarding for both parties.

    I lost my train of thought somewhere in there. I'm excited for the weekend though.

    Sweet :) I don't want to promise anything with the spectator mode. It is possible, but it is basically a duct tape job that gives a commander view spectator mode. Chance of it working on the weekend: 30%.

    Postponing would mean no NS2HD/UnknownWorlds casting. We will be at PAX next weekend. This weekend is a very good option for casting because I will be in the office the whole time, with access to the beefy internet connection and my PC.

    I will let you guys organise, as I understand it you are chatting on TS tonight? I'll try to stay a step back and just facilitate awesome casting, commentary, and try to promote.

    Hmm, sadly the replacement hard drive that came also had a mechanical failure. To boot, Aberystwyth is like the middle of nowhere in terms of decent stores, and nowhere had any hard drives (except for a £250 2TB HD o.0).

    So I'm making an 8 hour round trip to the North of wales to grab a new hard drive so we can play this weekend.

    I hope this is successful! Can't wait to watch the other games too.

    I live 40 minutes from Aber, I could of given you a 200gb raptor. And 8 hours? That's a bit excessive. Plenty of places about near me that have hard drives.

    Good news guys - The spectate mod is go. It's not ready for wide distribution as it can break the game on pubs. For these matches everyone will need to use some modded lua files. It's gonna blow your mind when you see it!
