The skulk's POV is actually back around his front shoulders, not even his head. Check it out sometime. This leads to a lot of the bite issues with skulk. You can have a screen full of marine, but miss your bite because your face is actually a foot in front of you sticking out the other side of the marine.

Except the Kharaa have eyes on the sides of their heads, like prey animals, rather than on the front, like predator animals. Essentially any view point that is 3D for the Kharaa is inherently incorrect because of their eye placement. Not one of them has a predators vision characteristics.
