Hey, my server browser isn't showing any games. I've tried hosting a local server etc. but nothing is working.

Anyone know how to fix it?

[EDIT] Nevermind, looks like it's something on steams end: http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/forums/in...howtopic=117293

Thanks so much for this. My game crashed and then I couldn't see any games. I reinstalled NS twice, disabled Steam overlay, opened all sorts of ports and still was making no progress. Glad to know it isn't something on my end.

Major bummer!! Can't even manually connect using IP address... doesn't make sense to me. Does Steam need to route all these?

I also cannot see any servers in my server list. I went to the NS2 server list that i found using google. but when i try to manually connect using the console ingame, it seems like no servers are responding.. anyone figure out how to connect to any servers? I would greatly appreciate a fix because i want to give build 201 a go.

Same problem here, usually restarting NS or tabbing out and then back in on the server browser works but not this time.

In the same boat here. This happens to me all the time but usually closing the game and reopening it eventually fixes it just not today.

Simple enough to start a lan game then inconsole type connect 64.120.10.242:27015 to connect for example to the [KcK] server..... :)

This tip did not work for me :(

Btw, can't ping any servers hosting a Natural Selection 2 game, but I can ping whatever I want on CS, CSS or anything, from windows.

Master server jacked again it will be fixed soon I read. You just need to know the IP of a server. Most of the time Clans will post there server IP's on there website if your looking for a fav one :)

the problem is that I cannot see any servers in the list, but if I want to connect a server from which I know the IP, it won't connect either... I haven't played videogames for a long time now, and used to play NS1. Now that I've played NS2 for 2 days I'm kinda addicted to it. Now, I WANT TO PLAY NS2 DAMNIT!!! Please fix this horrible problem!

Couple of suggestions:

- Occasionally the server list is really slow, try waiting.
- Try creating a game and the going back to the browser.

Holy ###### it's true! After waiting 30 seconds the servers suddenly show up. Thanks dude

after I tried waiting for like 20 seconds, the servers did show up like someone here said. The problem now is that sometimes, like right now, I wait 3 minutes, and still nothing shows up ... I sure hope this gets fixed very soon...

Same here - a thing that worked for me, is if one of your friends joins a server - click "click to join" in the chat window and it follows them to it. It worked once for me so not saying it is a definite solution :D

Got same issue, after very very long time server show up, no slots free, trying to refres takes ages again.. no fun if you want to try join your fav server, no way to go on wait list or something like you could do with valve server list, also hope before its full release this is possible and add server to fav list.

anyway darn annoying long long wait time before server show up and also after refreshing the list, this ###### started with 2xx, before 2xx I had no issues with this.

There's a bug with the play4dead.com website where it tries to connect to the query port instead of the game port.

Step by step instructions:
* Go to www.play4dead.com/ns2 (preferably via in-game Steam browser)
* Click server list
* Pick your desired server and write down the IP (e.g. 1.2.3.4:27016)
* Open in-game console (the ~ key)
* Type: connect 1.2.3.4
* (Optional) If server has a custom port (not 27016, e.g. 1.2.3.4:27019), substract 1 from the server port and type: connect 1.2.3.4:27018

Cross-post from the thread already linked..

I had this problem. It arrived when I upgraded the client. It went away when I deleted the local game cache and re-downloaded. I am now doing this as a matter of course when there is a new release.
