Uh, yeah. In general, using the UWE boards is currently a nuisance.

I'd chalked the horrible login problems up to our load balanced router and some sort of IP-address binding (cookies are normally IP agnostic unless you go out of your way to make it otherwise).

I would literally log in, type a post, hit "submit" and be prompted to log in again. It's infuriating!

I love the new feature, that you always see the first post, no matter on which sitenumber you on.

I've found that logging in using the fancy thing in the top right rarely works for more than a few page refreshes. The logins done through the login screen that appears when you attempt to make a post or some other action that requires being logged in tend to last longer.

Yeah, the login bug is really annoying. Should be easy to extend the lifetime of the cookie. Please fix this.

I can't comment on the possibility of a forum upgrade, but using <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/forums/index.php?act=login" target="_blank">http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/forums/index.php?act=login</a> to log in will give you less grief.

Regarding search, are you using the search form at the top or the bottom of each page? The form at the bottom works much better.

Yeah that bothers me, too! I already wrote a thread about that with a link how to change it very easy and fast to the subforum "Web Site Feedback":

but I got not a single answer from an admin/mod <b>in 6 months</b>! The forum needs someone who really maintenance it and keep things up to date. :/

Hopefully a proper clean-up will happen before NS2 v1.0-release, as you really don't want people to have to fight your forum-software when they're trying to get some help with the game.

I think its a proxy problem. ISPs in my country are heavily proxied, and certain ISPs give me problems on these forums, others do not.

I don't have any proxy in my line to the forums and the troubles still make me crazy.
At least no proxy that can be easily found by scanners.
