Main hive powers all cysts?

<div class="IPBDescription">Bugs</div>So I was playing as Khamander yesterday on the map, forgive for I haven't learned the name yet, (it's the one with shipping and logistics and repair room) anyway the game game was a stalemate, I was on the second hive for what seemed like forever with no hope of setting up a 3rd as they had controlled elevator transfer and shipping I believe. When my team finally took out shipping I set up our 3rd immediately and catalysed. The frontiersmen responded by attacking our original hive, destroying it. I died with the hive and fell out of the chair. What happened next is what puzzled me, I entered my auxiliary hive and saw that everything was dying all my cysts were unpowered, my team mates told me to reconnect them to which I replied to what? As all the cysts were dying. Is there a bug where main hive controls all cyst power?

TL;DR when main hive goes down it takes all cysts with it due to lack of energy.

Cysts will become unconnected if the 1 nearest to a Hive is not in range of the Hive itself. In your situation (as I understand it, you had 2 Hives?), the Cyst network you set up from the main (destroyed) Hive has no Cyst in range of the 2nd (auxiliary) Hive, so all of them became unconnected and eventually died.

There's some weirdness still with cysts looking for a new "parent" when their old parent is disconnected. Placing a new cyst right next to your auxiliary hive would, in most instances, fix this problem, but that still feels like a workaround rather than a cohesive, organic network.

All cysts were down even the ones at my auxiliary hive, I tried placing cysts frantically in both my 3rd and secon to no avail I was literally powered out

I see, then perhaps as Shrike mentioned, a bug in the old/new parent search code.

There is realy a bug, as a gorge and as alien com., i notice that.
Sometimes they just don't want get connected, so you have place a cyst twice.

hmm well its not really about trying to place a cyst twice, because i coud not place one at all, not even in my remaining 2 hives.

^- But could you click the icon and see a Cyst when you mouse around Hive2? Asking because Cysts cost 2 PRes now instead of 15 Hive energy.

yes, the point tho is that, it wouldnt let me place it because nothing was connected. all cysts were dying, i had half teh map covered in cysts, it was a stalemate for like an hour, i set up a a small firebase in the middle consisiting of whips and crags and shades so we could figh elevator and shipping. and everything died. my entire cyst network went down after my main died. it was rather frustating to have a loss due to that

ill try to recreate it when i get home tonite and ill take screenshots if i can.

That's a big bug. Haven't seen that one before.
