3rd person deaths?

Are 3rd person deaths still in the game?, I only played for about 45 mins this morning so
I don't remember. I really liked seeing he ragdoll effects on my dead body.

P.s alien player here who loves the new build! Time will tell tho hopefully everyone else will warm up to the b200

    The first-person deaths are a little unsettling for me. I always spend a second or two wondering why I'm stuck on something and my attacks aren't registering.

    I think it would be better if the screen also rotated to the side. Your view should point to the direction of your ragdoll's head and if the head falls to the side the view turns. Red Orchestra: Ostfront had that and I liked it.

    Wow i knew something felt off but i couldn't place my finger on it. Deaths don't feel right without the 3rd person view.

    Now we just need some corpse eating ability for aliens and the last thing you'll see are the aliens feeding on you!

    i think we will get used to the new effect. in terms of gameplay, it seems necessary. e.g. if you die in 3rd person you can spot if kharaa have placed a hive around the corner or not.

    I always loved the death cam in Red Orchestra 2.

    For all those guys who don't know RO2 and it's death animation can have a quick look at <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=njo7CnJ53qc#t=160s" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=playe...7CnJ53qc#t=160s</a>

    This video shows how the players act when getting killed in RO2. In this case he was shot and felt back, which gives a deep atmosphere. Unfortunately I couldn't find a video that shows how you die when you're getting shot while sprinting, which looks way more awesome. You just fall down right with your face into the dirt, very similar to RL :P

    It's just awesome and I hope UWE will implement it aswesll.

    We're currently working on this first person death effect to make it clearer what is going on, and also look better.

    Well, the "critical annoyance" effect we had (have?) when you're at low health could be used to good effect here I think. Red around the edges of the screen, hard to see, sound muffled... when you're dead it's ok to be affected in such a manner.

    Having the view go really dim and swivel either to the floor (prone), the wall (lateral) or the ceiling (supine) might help indicate that you're now a cooling chunk of dying meat.

    i think its pretty stantard to have a shade hive at every hive, albeit there is always the timing and chance that they wont have it. I really hope they bring back the third person view for deaths, sometimes they were silly like falling of a cliff after you die or flying high up into the air because a skulk bit your leg(bug) feature.

    Not this build. I haven't built a shade in a day and a half, and have only lost once.
