Note: just because i made a little how to, doesnt mean that im very good at it :p (both at explaining and the jumping)
First you need to find out how to get a speed boost.
Run towards a wall jump on it, after you landed turn into whatever direction keep holding W and jump. (usually gets you up to around 13 speed)
Timing is important, you need to be sure that you are sticky to the wall before you walljump, if you press jump to fast it wont work. (tho dont wait too long either)
Angle is important, depeding on where you look at it will or will not work - if you are getting too paralell the sticky force might not let you go, so you wont get a speed boost.
Speed is important, the faster your speed is on the wall before you walljump the higher the speedboost. (i guess)
What do i do now? How do i keep the speed or increase it?
After you figured out how to gain a speedboost, you need to figure out how to keep as much as possible of it - or even gain more with the use of additional walljumps.
Basically you only have to time pressing jump, so as soon as you touch the ground you have to press jump.
If you press too slow you will lose the speed, if you press too fast you will lose the speed.
If you use the skulk speedmeter (which i dont find that usefull since it only distracts, but it might help you understand the theory at first)
After a jump as soon as you hit a surface the blue bar starts to raise, to get and keep the maximum possible speed out of a walljump you try to keep this bar as low as possible.
The better you time this the higher your speed.
I know how to get a speedboost and how to keep the speed with some kind of bhop.
Now you need to try to make combinations, walljump - jump a bit and if there is a good wall you can use, time it right - hit the wall, get the angle right jump again...
Additional notes:
- You can also increase your speed while making turns in the air... without walljumping this gets you to a speed of 9,5 tho you will jump half circles and you cant really build up speed from the ground this way...
- Also you can use some kind of wiggle walk(strafing left right left...) while in air which also gets you up to around 9,5, tho its also pretty useless - it shows you 9,5 on the speedmeter but because of the wiggle you are a lot slower compared to a normal jumping skulk at 9.5 speed. (its kinda like pressing the gaspedal on a car while in mid air... the speedmeter will show you higher speed - but in reality you dont speed up)
- Something i missed to shoot in the video, you can also get speedboosts at edges... (dunno how to describe it here is a video Click)
Edit:
Seems like i somehow screwed up, video missing sound...
edit2: Should i make a new video with sound? - Dont really feel like doing it again :( also build 200 will hit soon and likely change everything again...

It makes no sense the way it was... so you jump back and forth making you basically hit 0 speed everytime you land and then it suddenly speeds you up from 0 to 12 or whatever. (even midair) http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=playe...UipPTOi2k#t=42s
Basically the only usefull part in a real map/gameplay scenario was the strafe into wall + jump glitch which gave you a quick and easy speedboost. (tho maybe i missed something...)

What you need to do is to spam jump, strafe keys and look left and right in a somehow periodic fashion, laugh at the marine missing all his ammo, and proceed to bite him in the arse. You can can also see at the end of the video that zeCrazyWiggle is hard countered by zeCrazyJumpSpam.
1) the sporadic looking isn't necessary for speed, just tricking your opponent, you can simply strafe back and forth in mid air repeatedly to get max speed
2) it doesnt look too effective anyways based on the amount of times you die in that vid lol
3) why do you play with alien vision on THE WHOLE TIME?? how are you traversing your environment properly with that thing on? i personally never use it unless the room has been spored by a lerk, and i fare very well. guess i just think it ruins the game for me, personally, idk :-/
Yes alien vision is awful, I've been complaining about it, like many people.
Ditto, why deny yourself increased combat awareness for target acquisition?

Nice writeup. This wiggling in the air doesn't actually make you go any faster. Like you said, it's pretty useless even though it shows 9.5 on the skulk meter.
the speed is accurate. you perceive a slow down because in air you only re-direct your move when you are past 9.5, and not accelerate. those values will be adjusted in next patch and strafing in mid air as skulk will feel closer to 198 movement.
This post gave me cancer.

Thank god im duplex!
Ontopic: I think there is a very simple test for any potential walljump mechanic: Does it help me kill TreffNiX?
While this may seem silly, it is a valid point. Any mechanic needs to give skulks tools to beat (or level the playing field with) very skilled marines. b198 allowed this, somewhat because you could choose to boost your speed at any moment, from any surface easily. This gave you the speed boost you needed when you needed it. The current system feels slow and clunky compared, if you suddenly need a boost the system of getting to a surface and performing the jump takes longer.
Huh I thought that's how it works right now:

If it is as epic as the last duplex skulking video you produced, in Argathor's thread, then I'll be following :)
Walljump in build 200 works pretty similar, just that you not only have to care that you are not too parallel to the wall but also where you aim at before pressing jump...
To gain a speedboost you have to be on the wall then look at the floor and jump, seems like the steeper you aim at the floor the stronger the boost, tho the harder it gets to time the first follow up jump. (steeper, is this correct english? ^^ - hope you guys get what i mean)
After the boost it works like in 199 it seems... timing jumps correctly.
Do we need a video? (ill make it cheaper than skie only 9,95€ :P)

I would appreciate that. :)

Quite a lot harder to get into similar speedregions compared to b199, but maybe im missing something and there is a better way to do it...
PS: i again forgot to set the correct input device in Dxtory... so no sound.>_>'
not to mention they just removed air accel from the game.
And if it doesnt take any skill you should make a video now, since im not very good at the jumping anyways.
Having a speed of 13+ m/s compared to 7m/s might be pretty usefull for attacking marines or do you want to disagree on that?
edit: i dont want to say walljump is the best mechanic ever, but its usable(one some maps in certain locations :p)...
But its much more effective to do something useful(like figuring out how walljump works now) instead of just whining about a game thats in beta, were everything can change completely from patch to patch. (its not like they said, skulk is finished now - we wont touch it again)

lol. Whats funny is that Koruyo is doing pretty much exactly what you would have been doing in b199 in terms of wall jumping mechanics to get the speed boost. The fact that you don't realise this makes me laugh at your claims of being so good at the 'skill based movement' of b199.
Nice video koruyo. Also I was trying this before - I think you can repeatedly bounce of two close walls to build up momentum like in 198. What im still confused about is what the white bar now does.. It doesn't seem to work the same way 198 did anyway, in terms of boosting your next jump speed?
I tried the bouncing between 2 walls but i cant really get anything useful out of it... maybe im doing it wrong, need to play around with that a bit more :P (buti dont really see how this could be usefull in a real game)
