Very exciting to see all of you filling up the serves. Now, many of you have expressed a want for a tutorial, so I made one for all of you. Hopefully it'll help!

    Damn you beat me to the punch. Fantastic videos man, very informative for the newbies(well, hopefullly).

    It does now leave me wondering what I should do next though lol.

    He's a good commentator, why not spend a little bit and have it sound much better? Would you be fine with NS2HD using an iphone to film the UWE interviews?

    If you're gonna put all the time in to make these things why not make them polished? A mic for these purposes isn't expensive <i>at all</i>.

    To me the sound was a bit grating, like a low quality skype convo.

    Good job. I'm going to show this to some friends who are unsure wether to buy this game or not. :)
    I think the mic is fine.
    It's a pity the video quality is so low. Other than that: great work, thank you!

    I agree he's a very good commentator. If NS2HD used an Iphone they could remove HD and put SD, and we'd live with it if we had too. If anything you could have said have it needed better video quality, the sound is fine.

    It's cool peregrinus, nothing against you I just found it to be a really frivolous comment. I agree with you higher quality would be great for video and audio but its good the way it is for what it is.

    Nice intro videos. Is there a chance you could provide them in 1080p (or 720p)? 360p doesn't look very good when full-screened in 1920x1080.

    I just bought this game yesterday and only played for about an hour last night after work. I played a decent amount of NS1 but was never really that good at the game but I understand all the basic concepts of it.

    I am going to watch the videos and report back, I would probablly be a good test candidate considering my limited knowledge of NS2.

    Update:

    watched the videos. Def very good for new players and even returning NS1 players like myself who don't know all the details of NS2 yet. (I only have a few hours of game time logged still extremly nooby). tons of info in there that i did not know.

    I'm not sure how much of this is going to change in b201 or with further tech tree streamlining and changes, but heres a basic outline of a solid pressure-expand strategy thats becoming more and more common on the aus servers. Its easy to execute and doesn't involve any tricks or grand feats of marine co-ordination so i think its a good place to start if your looking to understand more specific pub friendly build orders that emphasise map control without sentry turrets.

    Oh, and I dont play on the US servers but i've heard from US visitors that we play differently? Is this true? :o

    in europe, people often go for a rather quick phasegate too. most designated map for this is mineshaft, but you see it a lot in summit and tram as well.
    i guess people often split up by themselves (still going as teams), unless you use a beacon in order for them to rush a location.

    anyway, i like your vid a lot as it also covers a lot of useful sub-strategies and micro-techniques people should really know about.

    would be nice if someone could post some useful timemarks, e.g. when to expect the 2nd hive up etc. the server i usually play on disabled catalyze as it seems rather powerful if used on hives.

    Awesome videos guys. I love that you guys make this stuff.

    We are putting in YouTube videos in a new "Training" page in game in the main menu. I plan on including awesome community videos like this there!
