Marine Weapon Ammo Display Bug

This Bug causes the Ammo Display of Primary Marine Weapons to disappear.
Instead, it displays the content of one of the many monitors that can be found around the maps:

It also works the other way around:

This happens to me frequently, but I couldn't quite isolate the cause yet.

Can anyone confirm this one?

    I've seen this once on the welder. Looks cool but isnt very helpful.

    Yep, this exact thing has been happening to me as well, though I've noticed it on the Assault Rifle sights. It has happened several times when I spawn in, and it disappears after switching weapons (ie from rifle to pistol back to rifle). I was wondering if it was some sort of feature, like a cool config screen for your space gun.

    I thought it was a random bug I had in my mod code :P

    I've only seen it in my mod, that's a relief. :)

    confirmed.. I have also had this happen on the Rifle. But not for a long time (10 builds).

    I've had it happen to me also and I suspect it is an issue with alt-tabbing. However, I've never actually been able to find a way to reliably reproduce it.

    Weird, maybe its my ati (on default its the bad card O.o) but i realy got no bugs like that.
    graphic bugs are very rare, maybe because i use the newest drivers and w7SP1.
    if you alt-tab out of the game, of course things like this can happend, if not a mistake, why should you do that?

    Yes, indeed! I actually did think that it was some kind of feature or cool server plugin at first.
    Would be funny if the ammo display of weapons failed in areas with broken power nodes, or by shade distortion.

    Definitely something to do with the alt-tab. Although when I switched to using fullscreen-windowed (fsfod's mod) I haven't had it any longer.

    You know, I've told Alterra many times before, these technology enhanced weaponry would be vulnerable without a firmware upgrade to openWCS 1.04. But no, upgrading to that version would open up liability issues because it's an open source version. Corporate madness, they just wont listen and rather have the TSA pay them for the older firmware and have the risk of crashing projectileCount.dll and viewer.dll

    Leaving the marines in the field guessing at their amount of bullets left, just like 2 centuries ago with those old gunpowder weapons...

    I was thinking that, you could do some fun things with it, like saying you have Pi bullets left, or have it start reading the ambient temperature rather than the ammo count.

    It'd be an actually rather useful addition to the shade.

    I think they should keep a blue screen of death popping out very rarely, it would add a bit of humorous atmosphere to the game :)

    Also to add with this, is it just me or does sometimes when you buy a shotgun or what not at the armoury, and then you go click on it again, your weapon drops and you end up with an LMG again? Then you run off like Rambo and see a fade and about to pump it's head with a barrel and you realise you've got a pee shooter and kiss your arse goodbye :(

    I only got NS2 yesterday and i've been playing a bit, when this happened to me I thought I had picked up a different gun, or like the ones with the ammo display were upgraded
