I don't know, I was just comparing Crag's size to Whip's size, as Commander watching from above that is, it looked small.
Also, because a giant tentacle crawling towards you is some scary ****, a tiny one is not :P
Could also be an excuse to increase its abysmal attack range, yes? Increasing its size might make it a bigger target, but with more range (like 9 range from current 6) it'll be better at defense and offense. Although it might make it more difficult to hide around corners~

I would call for whips to be smaller, and do less damage. They are abit OP right now, I'd say, in relation to turrets. If this happens, let us make Flame-Turrets.

OP how? Unless the Commander wills it, they just sit there like any other structure and let you blast them to tiny, tentacle-y bits at range. Turrets will at least provide feasible defense throughout the game.
Static defense + Near Melee Range vs. Ranged Infantry, really?
@c0ke: Not a bad idea, I actually wouldn't mind if they went with Whip having longer range than Mature Whip. If M. Whip has more range along with Bombard, higher HP, and uproot, there'd be lots of complaints :P
