Gorge is a problem

I've been complaining about this for awhile now because I see it so often, but the game I just had really drove the problem home. The Gorge's bile bomb is still overpowered. I just had a game where we were dominating, we had practically the whole map and were moving in to finish off the alien hive. One of the aliens managed to sneak out and throw a 2nd hive up while we were attacking. So the aliens have about 4 gorges healing the hive, a few skulks attacking, are about to lose the hive when one skulk goes gorge in a remote part of our base, and singlehandedly destroys the CC with bile bomb from across the room. My marines were unable to hit him because of his position and any repair bots I put out there were instantly destroyed. It took him about 20 -30 seconds to drop the CC.
I think it is pretty clear their is a problem when a better organized team can lose to one gorge firing from across the room. The range is huge on an attack that is devastatingly powerful to buildings. It's just not fun anymore, every other game the aliens win is due to a gorge or two using bile bomb.

Being able to shoot it up and hit from amazing distances
using a skulk to climb up evolve and shoot it from some ridiculous spot that's almost impossible to hit them or they can retreat to a spot you can't hit them.
stealth rushes but atleast this requires a shade somewhere close.
the large aoe radius just makes the above even more overpowered.
I don't think the damage it does is overpowered but rather the way it can be used and the radius. Due to the small size of the rooms marines just can't spread out the buildings to the point where bile bomb doesn't hit 2-4 buildings at once. One the flip side yes GL also need looking at in that regard.
In regards to balancing bile bomb, this might be a band aid fix but.... What is nano shield completely negates damage from bile bomb and itself cannot be damaged by bile bomb.
I think of bile bomb like an acid filled water balloon. it has great damage potential, but doesn't hit very hard when compared to bites/swipes and heck, even gorge spit atleast impacts with high speed (this will be important distinction later). Thus a comm can use nanoshield to deny a gorge or two from quickly bile bombing a CC, IP or PN (Power Node). if a gorge wants to use bile bomb, they must first switch to spit and break the shield. A better way would be to have another alien (non gorge) attack the shield to bring it down much faster.
I like that they reduced the arcing of the bomb for easier usage, but either increase the adrenaline cost or decrease the splash radius to compensate for that change.
It would allow marines to repair things or kill gorges (or at least drive them away) until MACs can safely be used again.
I really hope bile bomb isn't meant to be a whip ability, too. It's a classic gorge weapon and one of the ways the gorge remains useful in the late game (like the lerk with umbra/scream in NS). Taking it away and putting it on a building that only 1 alien player can control is bad for the game.
i do think that maybe the bile bomb should be a 3rd hive ability
and maybe give the gorge umbra as a 2nd hive ability ?

I don't know, they usually wait till most players are out.

I did place a 2nd cc, but it didn't last long after the main base was destroyed.
