Major lag spikes only when jetpack used

For some reason with the new patch, my game runs fine, full graphics and all, until marines get jet pack. It does everything just fine and ive never had this problem till now. It doesnt matter what side im on wither it's aliens or marine's, the moment im close to someone using jet pack my game starts spiking like mad. I even get it when im commander for either team just by viewing a marine with jet pack and have to view somewhere else. Is anyone else getting this? Cause as far as ive seen im the only one. Anyone got any ideas?
