The pipe-like, circular vent that leads to research labs from waste can't be used at the moment because of the transition from the circular pipe to the rectangular vent. Skulks won't fit.
Uplink command still can't be beacon'd to; tried to place observatory in a couple hundred places.
Uplink command still has power issues in the center recess in the floor. Structures placed there can't be powered.
The area behind the waste handling tech node is not powered.

quick update, thanks. Forgot to readjust the location entities to fit the room adjustments I made. Also fixed that vent, coulda swore I had done that already previously.

This was my most played NS1 map, and it's the only map I completely remembered the layout to! This is so amazingingly well done. It is NS1 Tanith in NS1 mod, haha.
I can't wait for you to finish texturing this map, fantastic job. My favorite!!

sorry guys, life got very hectic the last few months... married, moving, new job... I've been in contact with a few people to take over as I hardly have time anymore for this.

I will likely be remaking this. I only have a few concerns before I begin, namely that it's a visually very restrained, plain map, and I'm not immediately struck by ways to make it modern.
I've also heard the gameplay might be problematic for NS2. So maybe I can open the floor for a discussion on this point. What does everybody think? Is it a worthwhile map to port, in terms of gameplay potential?

It's been such a long time since I played any meaningful games on Tanith so I can't speak for the gameplay potential, as for the visuals you could always re envision it with a new theme that is loosely based upon the original.

Try putting observatory by comm chair or the rt in marine start.

Replacing the temporary geometry with prop cargo containers fixed the issue. (Credit to fmpone)
The whole Waste Handling area and the corridor with the broken ramp are very polished and new while still feeling faithful to the original.
