Fade Alt Attack: Grapple and bite

<div class="IPBDescription">Preying Mantis style</div>To me the Fade 'stab' seems rather pointless.

1. Hardly anyone uses it.
2. It's not that good at taking down structures.
3. It's seems to be a slower more powerful version of the Primary 'slash' attack.

How about instead of Stab with the Alt-Attack we have the Fade stab or grapple the object he wants to destroy and then he could bite down and rip the target or structure apart with a sidewise ripping motion like a shark?

The way it would work is that you would change to the Alt-Attack and then when you get in front of your target you hold down the mouse button and the Fade would perfom the Stabbing animation except that the arms would lock into a grappling position and then the 'teeth animation' (like the skulk) would appear and bite down on the target then the teeth animation would move side to side rapidly.
The trade off being that whilst you will be able to take down structures faster you will be vulnerable whilst grappled or locked into the target. If a marine finds you ripping thru a power node and starts shooting you will have to ungrapple (by releasing the mouse button) first before being able to blink away.
When performing the grapple/bite on a Marine it would also be a trade off in the sense that if you perform a grapple/bite trophy kill on a marine you get an automatic kill but again you are vulnerable to other marines until the marine is killed (which will take longer that the current 'stab' kill).

To me this idea is not a far stretch because the Fade's large slashing arms look like it could perfom this manoeuvre anyway.

Something to think about.

P.S Could the devs leave a brief comment on these ideas so we could hear what they think? I know you guys are busy but it would be good to know your thoughts.

    I'd like to see such a "grapple"/"hold" attack tested on the Fade.

    When Exosuits are introduced, Fades will be able to immobilize them for other aliens, rather than becoming obsolete.

    Although, Fades are already very powerful at the moment.

    Schimmel had the idea of a damage shield on the Fade that I like quite a lot. The Fade would have two possible fighting styles:
    Hit and Run, with Blink, or
    Distraction/damage soaker with the "energy shield".

    Grapple idea does sound interesting - instead of locking the marine down (I assume it doesn't lock the marine down), it locks the fade to the marine.

    I'd like to see a thrust attack for the second slot:
    - high damage
    - long attack box (higher range)
    - longer attack animation
    - narrow attack box (more precise, requires more accuracy)
    - forward motion (adds forward momentum)
