TS3 AutoJoin - Is it possible?

Greetings,

because the ingame-VON is still to quiet and is really annoying an idea came to my mind. Maybe someone here could code a servermod which connects a joining client automatically to a ts3-server (of course with an client option to disable it => client-/servermod).
There are many ingame-overviews for ts3 too, so you could include something similar.

Just a suggestion (please don´t punch me if this was asked before).
I would do it on my own but I´m not that into LUA (only Java and a little C/C++).

I could provide a Teamspeak 3 server if needed.

Check out the <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/forums/index.php?showtopic=112026" target="_blank">Game Overmind</a> thread. If that doesn't already contain something like this in the plans, then it would be a good thread to ask the question :)

You mean that the server should auto-execute a "TeamSpeak://"-link on the client-side upon connecting. That is not possible with the Lua-scripts currently, meaning the developers will have to put in such an URL-trigger (for all kinds of things, as well as TS3), probably behind a yes\no-dialog or an opt-in for security-reasons. All that assuming Server-Client script-sync is put in, which to date is not yet the case.

I have had no trouble hearing other players using the built-in voice chat. I also think its one of the clearest sounding voice comm system i've ever seen in a game...

Implementing something like this would probably fragment communication channels, some people using built in and others using TS.

So... I'm not sure it would work, at least for most people.
