<div class="IPBDescription">tool for mappers</div>I started working on a game mod and one of the first hacks I performed was making the fade the default lifeform. This was essentially the first test of my hunter mod, and I thought I'd share it to help mappers.

This mod spawns you as a fade in the game, without needing to enable cheats etc. This gives you an opportunity to easily test your map for fade movement hinderance. Might even help me practice my fading skills, chuck a few bots in there and swipe>blink>swipe :)

There is only 1 lua file amended - AlienTeam.lua

All I've done is set the respawn entity to fade and removed the fade from the tech tree limitation.

Extract the .rar to ...steamapps\common\natural selection 2

Create a shortcut to ns2.exe on the desktop with the parameter -game FM

I may update it to add the option to choose to spawn as fade or onos when he finally gets in the game.

OK, so I wanted to leave it at that, but of course I couldn't..

Set res cost for all lifeforms to 0

With future code :P

Now you can start the map as a fade, turn on cheats 1 to start the game, and you can then change backwards and forwards between lifeforms whenever you want. There is a 3 sec gestation time.

If you add some bots this could be a very simple alien practice mod too.
