<div class="IPBDescription">Are alien start hives random?</div> In tourny mode is the alien start position random, it seems to me that if it is this is unfair and if a map was played each way in leagues it could be a major problem. Some hives are much easier to start in than other hives, (i.e. hives closer to the marines are easier to skulk rush with).

    They are random, and all the same distance from the marine start.

    'distance' is largely irrelevant. For instance on ns_hera, the 'brown'(forget name - the only one with a nozzle in the hive) is extremely far from the reception and double node, which is a key part of that map. Often co controlling reception would result in winning the map. Also that start hive is most easilly siege-able from the generator room which is one corridor along from the marine start. This is only one example, im sure similar arguments can be made on other maps.

    Leagues will not be successfull unless clans feel that they have a fair and equal start per map.
