I dont think they should give that big discounts anymore - given that the game is shaping up pretty good. Maybe make a bundle for 40-45$ where you get 2 copys.
edit: Maybe even more like 49,99$ for 2 copys... i mean thats already 20$ saved. And 29,99$ for 1 copy... if you dont have friends :P

I don't think that's an issue, especially if it's not that well advertised like last year, most on the forums have already got the game so it would probably be bought as gift, i wouldn't mind if they added an extra $5 but the game is only worth so much, especially at this stage, they're better off getting it out there as a gift to more people who might never buy it anyway.
I trade games with friends in the Steam sale and out of the Steam sale at Christmas. I think last year I ended up spending/receiving in the region of $300 worth of games, some of which with the Steam sale would take it well over that value.
Christmas sales for me always devalue games, especially as a small company. We should not come to expect sales but to take things at price value. Although unfortunately Steam has more or less ruined that factor, I think attitudes should change as people should not expect to get a discount and want to, "buy more copies for friends".

Millions of players klicking on the NS2 site to get the giveawayticket.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd--> It's not out yet, can't really do that.
Yeah, I missed out on it last year and as much as I want them to do it again this year so I can give 1 copy to a mate, In the end they deserve everyone to buy it, they are working their arses off to bring us a top quality game, just watch the NS2HD videos and see for your self the work there putting in, just skip the internet outage video.

I suspect people wouldn't mind paying a little extra if need be.
