He even have recordings of our very first match, it was against HBZ, and it didn't quite work out for us, to say it mildly.

I thought I was going blind when I opened the page up. Then I just realised, it's going to be more painful for those that are colorblind.

Just trying to make it easier to find a particular clan. If it isn't color coded then it's just a wall of white text.

If you guys prefer I can remove the colors. Or get rid of the list of clans altogether. I just thought it would be helpful to be able to see which clans each youtube page featured.

The list function and perhaps 2 highlighting colors for the list titles would be a better idea... And putting it all inside a quote will also increase readability. Like my ns1 mapping threads for instance or perhaps the unofficial outdoor mapping guide (profile has links)

Wow, that Duplex/Inversion game was <i>awesome</i>. One of the best I've seen. Can't wait for the next round to be uploaded.

Zeikko and NS2HD, you guys should definitely commentate together again. Come to think of it, all of the NS2 casters should consider commentating with others. It's great to hear two people discuss strategy and predict outcomes.

The best part of that match was when Duplex after being killed off at crossroads, re-grouped at the door and entrances to cross to ambush.

Thanks Egad! Feedback like this definately makes want to do it again. I was surprised how much fun the casting was. To be honest I got better adrenaline rush by casting than by playing! :D

Both you and NS2HD should maybe consider paying a little more attention to the frags going on -- like when Syknik killed swalk's lerk just before they were going to drop the first hive in DC; that's huge. That meant they had no lerk to defend the hive with, even when they dropped it in crossroads a couple of minutes later. It's also worth paying attention to the scoreboard -- by the middle of the round, our lowest scoring player had more frags than their top scorer; which makes it pretty obvious who is going to win unless they manage to sneak a hive up.

You're absolutely right Fana. I totally missed the Swalk's lerk loss or its importance to the game. After all being an rts/fps hybrid the casting should include highlights of both aspects.
Did you check the second game already? I think we did little bit better job in this on the second one but there's still of course a lot of room for improvement.
With the unbalanced spawn times now it is still quite difficult the predict the winner by looking the scoreboard. With good rt defence and economy micro management aliens can still pull off a victory even though being humiliated in most of the combats.

I think it's rather hard to do proper commentating when there isn't first person views. A lot of the hype when an alien/marine gets killed is when they see how it came about in first person.. So we're missing that little fun bit. Secondly, people love seeing the scoreboard, seeing who has the most kills, who's playing what alien, what weapon they have the res, it's all interesting information.

I really enjoy the commentary and it'll only get better with the more matches that are played, so in time they will get better. =) good job Zeikko and NS2HD.

I had some horrible mouse lag and 450 ms ...

Anyway GG to inversion, you played very well. Are you using some UI pack or something to help your aim/accuracy ?

Fana didn't seem to have a problem. I was getting only 20ms better than most of you guys from the US West coast. Would be glad to have a rematch on a EU server in the future.

I think Fana has a good computer too, 80 fps average vizions said he had. Even at the beginning of a round, I never had so much fps.

Seems last beta driver (285.x), doesn't work so well with ns2. I think 280.x works much better.

Are you using some UI pack or something to help your aim/accuracy to share ?

Someone of inversion give some tweaks for nvidia panel settings, but i don't find the thread/link anymore. Can you share it again ? ty

I thought you were joking, which is why I didn't respond to the aim question. We don't use any aimbot or hack to help with aim. I think the only mods that some of us use are custom crosshairs and alien vision. Visionz has a link for the crosshair pack in the mod forum if you want them. I don't think it makes that big of a difference.

I get around 80 FPS at round start myself. The only graphics tweak I do is to turn bloom off. It doesn't increase performance, but just makes things look a bit better.
