For anyone who's not heard of NCSoft's latest MMO outing, its 'schtick' is that they're catering to different types of player by dividing them into classes (similar to the varieties you'd find on the Bartle test: Explorer, socialiser, killer, achiever)
While all players will experience a certain section of the game regardless of what 'class' they pick, there's a large amount of stuff that'll be unique to their chosen profession/playstyle:
<img src="http://www.wildstar-online.com/media/uploads/images/fankit-icons/explorerpathicon.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /> <b>Explorers</b>
Explorers will be able to find treasure troves and secret paths other classes can't find and even get missions that take them to odd and out of the way places.
<img src="http://www.wildstar-online.com/media/uploads/images/fankit-icons/warriorpathicon.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /> <b>Soldier</b>
Soldier class players always seems to attract trouble and so you'll stumble across battle scenarios more readily than the others, including ones specific entirely to your class. I've not been super impressed by the combat footage I've seen, though there are at least hints of having to dodge monster attacks which leaves me somewhat hopeful.
<img src="http://www.wildstar-online.com/media/uploads/images/fankit-icons/probebot.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /> <b>Scientists</b>
Scientists, on the other hand, get jobs and events focussed about collecting and scanning data. For those who like completionist goals, or just scanning the heck out of everything in metroid prime this class is probably for you :p
<img src="http://www.wildstar-online.com/media/uploads/images/fankit-icons/nexus.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /> <b>Settlers</b>
Settlers are the final class: the social one. They're all about building towns or something. Sounds interesting in theory but they've not really released any solid details on this one yet.
Art-wise/world-wise, it's got a certain charm to it and I can totally see myself playing one of those cute bunny/cat caster peoples :3
Check out the trailer:

Kinda odd that they ask for your home address and stuff though :o
<b>edit:</b> added a bit more detail, seeing as the initial post was a bit lean on info :3

But it's a great way to approach the design I guess.
Also if I get a frickin' motorcycle and a giant open landscape you bet I'm picking Explorer first

Combat sadly looks like the usual "stand there and trade blows, occasional dodging" farce, but the avalanches are kind of neat.
The rest is just more combat in a bunch of scenarios that could be seen in any game.
If they can really manage to make all of the classes work I'm going to be really happily surprised.
To be honest, watching the combat reminds me a lot of Guild Wars 2 in how much dodging you NEED to do :p
I'm not super sold but I'll give it a shot and the 4 class thing intrigues me :3
There was an interesting review with the guys behind the game who said they've tested the hell out of it to get it where it is, which sounds moderately positive:
<a href="http://www.tentonhammer.com/wildstar/interviews/cons-2011" target="_blank">http://www.tentonhammer.com/wildstar/interviews/cons-2011</a>
Either way, I see no harm and I love the bouncy tailed cat/bunny folk :p
On that topic, they've only shown 3 of the possible races in this game but there are more. The guys said they didn't want one side to end up favoured too much over another so each of the two factions has 1 pretty, 1 badass and 1 human race to cover to cover all the different tastes. I like that because they're at least being realistic about how people tend to pick their characters XD
Lineage 2
AION
the list goes on.
The only successful game they've managed to pull out of their pocket was guild wars. :/
I would not give this game any high hopes. Including, if its being developed out of country, like Lineage 2 and AION were. It will be more catered to the korean/chinese hardcore grindfest gold famers t.t
P.S: The landscape/terrain looks like a rip off cartoony WoW world. I'm not impressed lol.

Well that video pretty much shows it. WoW: Space Adventure. lol.
So many possibilities...
I certainly don't think this game will revolutionise much but I'm intrigued by some of the ideas they're trying out. I'm curious if they'll work, if they'll be remotely fun and if they don't is it because the idea was flawed or just the execution :p
In many ways, Carbine studios has a similar make up of backgrounds to the folk who work for areanet (ex blizzard employees, retro studios of metroid prime fame employees, some folk who worked on the original fallout, etc) so I'm curious to see if they're as capable as their forebears in this case and I'm willing to give them a chance to prove themselves :D
I'm going with "vagina-fu".
--Scythe--
Stuff like people posting Gunbound, Gunz, that naval ship game (forgot name), + flash games.
Good times (well not the games themselves but the fact that there was a different game to talk about every other week or something on these forums).
I might post up about Lineage Eternal... I'd been ignoring it because it's a Lineage game and they've traditionally bored me but when I watched a vid of it on a whim it blew me away. It makes diablo III look slow and dated :o

Actually I was thinking exactly the opposite.
LE looks better than D3 but appears to be incredibly slow on those vids.
Anyway, can't judge a game by it's trailer. :P
