Preorder Question

Its just an issue of time, really. Given how small the team is, I personally find it surprising that they were able to create the black armor at all. As Price pointed out, it is indeed more important that they finish the game at this point than work on a little ensignia that only a few people will get. And just giving standard users the armor would be a disrespect to the special edition users who already gave their time, money, and faith in UWE to get the black armor.

So, the way I see it, it's just not feasable at this point for UWE to design a reward for standard pre-orders. I'm as bumed out as you are, Ciunay, about not getting the armor. But that's because I wasn't there to support the game in its infancy. That said, I'm still able to play NS2 for months before release, and in my book, that's reward enough. Not to mention I also get to play a role in the game's development. The privilege of being in beta should not be overlooked.

Still, the hostility against Ciunay is unwarranted. Anyone that's going to support NS2 should be applauded. Ciunay is willing to give extra money to UWE, and all he wants in return is just a cool alternative version of the marine armor. That's it. So there's no need to get defensive about it.

Eh probably something small like a steam achievement or a symbol next to their name on the scoreboard.
I'd guess that's easy enough to add alongside the alpha special orders too?
Maybe the ability to select a differently skinned rifle from the options menu (both both special edition and beta players)?

The black armour shouldn't be given out again. I'd say it's also a sign of recognition for showing some commitment to the game overall since most players were frequents in NS1

There I was being told to be patient, it's an investment to pre-order early and here people are asking for silly little icons and visual upgrades for pre-ordering.
