From were and by whom?
[update] The quote below is most certainly fake, and we can also rule out the bond game "Everything or Nothing" as the source. [/update]

It began with a simple search for a clip on youtube, continued to google and now I'm looking through the movies. Not that I complain, they are good. But it's annoying to not have found it yet.
I have now looked through all the movies from Dr. No to Licence to Kill, including Never Say Never Again, but I haven't heard it yet. I'm pretty sure it would be in one of the older movies and that its mentioned slipped my mind. The fact that I found this mention;

“So, we meet again Mr Bond. And in two short hours my plague of genetically modified nanobots will be let loose on the world. My calculations suggest that 90 percent of the population of the planet will die and everyone who remains will thus be 10 times wealthier. Except for me, for I have a monopoly of the world’s supply of coffins and I will make another killing. Ha ha ha. I shall be the world’s first trillionaire and when I go do Davos next year, billionaires will look on me with awe and with envy. Eat your heart out Bill Gates. Suck on that Warren Buffet.”

“But enough Mr Bond, it is time for you to die.”

doesn't help eighter, as I recognise part of the quote (the coffin part), but I can't remember from where.

I hope one of you will be able to help me.

Regards,
Fluid Core

The phrase "genetically modified nanobots" makes me cringe.

I know, and I can't think of any movie where that occurs eighter..

It could actually be from one of the books. That quote is obviously not from a bond film, likely it is one of the many parodies of the line (no bond villain would EVER say "Eat your heart out").

BTW, I hate you so hard for that now, as I just spend about half an hr googling around trying to figure it out. The fact that it ISN'T on IMDB as a quote from any bond film leads me to suspect it's either from one of the books, or it is apocryphal.

Being British there's a Bond film on TV every day and I can say I've never seen one that mentions nanobots.

Apparently it's not in any Bond movie. It's from a Bond game. A fictional one that was made just to profit, basically.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Bond_00...hing_or_Nothing

"This was also the last James Bond game to have an original story and title until the release of Blood Stone in 2010."

It was just EA being greedy.

... a fictional Bond game? As opposed to one that deals with real-world events?

Yea, I had a feeling that particular quote was partially made up, but I did recognise part of it, so it got me puzzled. I've searched so much on google too, couldn't find any mention..

Thanks alot, that would explain things. Do you know if it's a scripted dialog in there were it's mentioned? If possible, do you know of an event I could s4earch from in the game to find the quote on youtube or such?

What are you suggesting? That there are not real solar powered blimp borne lasers trying to melt the ice caps? Are you denying global warming?

I may have found how to find it, seems to be enough to search for the game. Now I just need to wait and see if it's included in the clip...

    Fictional, fake. Semantics.

After having watched the missions of Everything or Nothing from 22 when bond first meet the villian until the end, we can rule out that as the source. I belive the quote in my op are completely made up.

Any other ideas on the origin?

I could have told you it's not from the game. The game was published in 2003, the quote has been around much longer.

I really suspect that it's apocryphal. The only thing worth checking would be the books.

I had my doubts too. Still, it was worth a shot. Now, to read through the books is quite something if it's just to find that quote. They're probably a good read, but I'd much rather know were to find it so I could enjoy the book itself instead of constantly searching for it.

    Anyone in the know?
