Ns_nothing, What's Wrong With It?

<div class="IPBDescription">to many resource nodes?</div> I like most NS maps, they are pretty well balanced, allthough CC placement sucks on most maps, and makes it difficult for the commander to protect everything without spending a ton of resources (I mostly ignore the CC and place two or three towers in the base).
NS_Nothing, is a map that has nothing going for it. The CC and Resource tower, is placed in the most moronic position, and the map has FAR to many resources towers. If one team gets a slight advantage, they will be gaining resources at an incredible pace. Once when I was a commander on NS_Nothing, I had around 2000 resources... I have to admit my teamed sucked, and could almost accomplish nothing, but 2000resources, that's over ten times as much as i've gotten on any other map... and I usually spend resources as soon as I get them

I dont see how u can compare big game hunters with ns_nothing really, I mean, two different games, two totally different intensions of "money-placing". BGH was just lame, i give u dat, but nothing is superbly done! Never once have i been in the situation of having 2 or 3 resources while other team has 2000, its always balanced. But, guess u've been unlucky.
Sure, lighting is stunning, it really is, design is incredible, well placed sieges can blow anything away, there are ways for a marine that knows the map to even take out a hive all by themselves (been there, done that) and still, there are endless amounts of possibilities for aliens to ambush, seal of corridors and blocking elevators, taking shortcuts through good vent-placements etc.
I never could have done it the way it was done and Im happy with the fact that there are maps that allows for such vast games as nothing provides. If u want shorter games, play another map, if u want to be able to use everything implemented, play ns_nothing.
Ah well, no offense anybody, just my opinions, but its a shame seeing people just complaining when they could be giving hints for mappers what to improve instead.
Dont blame your losses on the maps, its -you- that are to blame for anything not working out.
After all, were just aliens and can only do our best.
Each and every official map was included for good reasons.
Should you feel one of them is lacking, don't stand up in the open and shout "this map sucks", contact the mapper and give him feedback.
Their E-Mail adresses may be found at the 'team' section.
