My turret ideas

<div class="IPBDescription">Researchable Upgrades</div>I'm seeing a lot of posts on the forums about turrets and how they need a buff or something, here are my ideas.

<b>Robotics Factory Turret Technologies</b>
<ul><li>Upgrade Range
Cost: 25
Effect: 1.5x range for turrets</li><li>Upgrade field of view
Cost: 25
Effect: Increase coverage angle from 35? to 55</li><li>Upgrade Damage
Cost: 35
Effect: Increase damage by 20%</li><li>Flame
Cost: 15
Effect: Allows turrets to be upgraded to flame thrower turrets</li><li>Grenades
Cost: 15
Effect: Allows turrets to be upgraded to grenade launcher turrets</li></ul>


<b>Turret Upgrades</b>
<ul><li>Flamethrower
Cost: 5
Upgrade time: 20 seconds
Effect: Turret now shoots flames</li><li>Grenade Launcher
Cost: 10
Upgrade time: 20 seconds
Effect: Turret now lobs grenades</li></ul>

    I like most of your ideas but this one I definitely have to disagree on. There should be more focus on teamwork and less reliance on automated defenses.

    They should make a special expensive turret that can move around like an arc that a marine has to hop on and aim it. It should be like an HMG but even stronger since it would be so vulnerable. Lmbo!!!

    Omg +1.

    Researcheable flame turret would be very nice. it would make the game more dynamic, and more important, would give more options to the comm: "ok lets plant some defences... what do we have: sentry or sentry? bleh, ill just choose sentry :| *spams sentries*" using always the same defences over and over is somehwat boring :\. Also, making them cost more would be another way to spend some res in.

    I had to jump on the "turrets need a buff" bandwagon. I don't think they do.

    Turrets are fine the way they are. They don't need to be buffed or nerfed. Besides the commander has that mass teleport thing now so if the base is in trouble he can just beam them back to base and protect it.
