It's becoming a part of the game to build more then a single observatory/location. I feel an upgrade option for the observatory would be a good idea, costing 15 resources, and increasing it's total health and energy by 50%. It will also allow for new technology and abilities which I personally believe will only strengthen the game.
Advanced Observatory Ability/Tech Ideas: (These are just ideas, please remember)
<ul><li><b>Energy Boost</b>
Cost: 20 resources
Research Time: 60 seconds
Effect: Increases all obersvatory energy gain by 50% (1.5x speed)
Condition: If no advanced observatories are in play, observatory energy gain returns to normal</li><li><b>Teleport</b>
Cost: 100 Energy
Effect: Instigates a beacon on any targeted/powered observatory (regardless of it's energy)</li></ul>
Would like to hear your ideas/suggestions as well. Also these two ideas would open up an entirely new play methodology for marines, which is always a good thing for the RTS side of things.
