Screen goes black after match ends

Screen goes black sometimes at the end of gameplay (match end).

Anyone else having this issue?

    Happens to a fair amount of people(not often tho!!), don't know the reason myself but I haven't done enough digging through the forums.
    Shouldn't be happening too often tho i hope ^^ just restart the game.

    Its hardly rare. I get it every 2nd or 3rd match and usually in conjunction with half of the server I'm on. I have no idea how to reproduce except that it occurs after joining a team and the match starts (after the 15s timer). Also, the only fix is to either rejoin the server or reload NS2.

    I haven't been able to verify this, but I noticed something today. Just before I got a black screen, I saw numerous players I knew were aliens the previous round appear in the RR as Marines. All of the players that showed up this way all had the black screen problem. Maybe this is related to the bug, or it could just be an odd side effect of it. Not sure.

    I believe this has something to do with a full server of 18 people all being transported back to the ready room at once (after a game end). Not sure of how to duplicate it, but it has only happen to me when the server was full (or near full) and when the round ended (with probably Aliens winning [lol]).

    You don't have to restart the game.

    Bring up the console, enter 'disconnect' and you'll be back at the main menu.

    Well, you see...I tried entering disconnect in the console. Which works fine, but as I entered a new game it remained black.

    Closing the game completely and relaunching seemed to be the only solution. This doesn't happen too often, but when it does it's annoying.

    Typing disconnect and rejoining always fixes it for me. I don't have to restart.

    Typing disconnect fixes it for me as well. I used to have this happen all of the time, but it isn't as frequent now.

    I believe the bug that was (supposed) to fix the problem said something like "don't try to render until player is fully connected". So, it had something to do with getting disconnected from the game but the renderer continuing to run without any updates -- resulting in a black screen.

    First time a match ended i got a black screen too, though after that it didn't happen again for a while, after i'd say about 5 or so games.

    I can get this to happen pretty consistently if I currently occupy a command chair/hive when the game switches from the 15-sec warm up to the actual game start. Seems to be more of an issue on full 8v8 to 9v9 servers (anagram).

    I've had this problem on every server I have played on and have yet to find any common factors that might be causing this...I find this problem to be my biggest annoyance with the beta. Nothing like wanting to play a couple rounds and after a round you get black screen, need to disconnect and lose your slot on a server.

    end of game causes this that is the only time i have ever gotten the black screen is when a game has ended. and when it happens everyone gets it on the server. a few can still chat or use voice though but cannot do anything except disconnect when it happens.

    I get this black screen at the end of a game usually after the 3rd consecutive game in a row. Easiest way to resolve issue until dev's fix it is to open up the ingame console and type in the word "disconnect" without the "s. This will disconnect you instantly from server your connected to and send you back to games server select screen. From there if your quick you can rejoin server you were in without losing your slot.

    I've had this problem much more frequently in 184. In our scrim last night, it sometimes took 4-5 resets for all 12 players to NOT have blackscreens. It was a pain.
