Phones these days are more powerful than the Wii.
That's...really sad.
Why? Nintendo launched the Wii 6 years ago at a price point of $250, and it was widely circulated that they were making profit on the sale of every unit. 6 years later, we have many smart phones that have price points around $800-900, you just get them cheaper generally because of the draconian contracts people sign into.
Between the price disparity and the time past, it shouldn't be surprising at all that a modern smart phone has more processing power than Nintendo's McGamebox.

I figured a "proper", for a lack of a better word, dedicated graphics card in a gaming system should still have tipped the scales in its own favor, despite the age, compared to a hand held, battery powered pseudo PC. Guess not.
Given that laptop video cards released this year are potentially more than doubling the mid-high desktop cards from a year or two ago, it's not really too surprising when you think about it. Bundle in the significant consumer interest in more portable electronics lately, and the playing field gets skewed pretty hard.
That said, looks decent-ish for a cellphone. Take a look at the full Ocean tessellation demo though, and it starts looking pretty poor by comparison.
