Bile Bomb

<div class="IPBDescription">bug?</div>Last night I played about 4 games or so as alien and in each round we would try to get bile bomb but no one could seem to use it? Am I missing something here? On one game it wouldn't even let us click to research it, but others it seemed to research.. I believe it's suppose to be under key 4 from what people were saying in-game, but nothing happens when trying to switch to it. This really made the games last forever, each one being at least an hour long(both sides had good coms) until one side dropped out eventually from boredom(marines would always just build up sg's in ms at the end causing a stalemate).

    It's not really clear from the UI, but you need 2 hives AND a mature whip to research bile bomb. And yeah, then you have to evolve the upgrade as gorge.

    Yes, it took me a while to explain that to people that played the original NS1. Newer players don't seem to have that issue I've found, as they're more used to weapon upgrades from games like BC2 and Crysis. It does however seem to be a little random as to what is an upgrade that you have to evolve, and what's just there.

    Hah, I feel stupid.. for some reason no one else on the server knew you had to evolve it either(there was 14 on the server lmao, and 4 of us tried on aliens) so apparently I am not alone. I did play NS1 a ton, just didn't even think about that(come to think I never even really use the other 2 upgrades either, so forgot about them which is why).

    But if you have Bilebomb and then evolve any other Upgrade, you will lose Bilebomb!
